I was worried silicone would feel too lightweight to land a real snap, but the flex in the shaft proved me wrong. The spade tip gives a nice crisp tap without stinging, so I can keep the pressure light for warm-up and still get a reaction.

The silicone spade head is surprisingly soft for something that still lands with such a sharp, precise sting. I've used leather crops before and this one gives way more control on lighter taps, which is exactly what I wanted. The handle feels solid without being heavy, so my wrist doesn't tire out.
